Donna L. Paiva, 72, of New Bedford died Tuesday, October 17, 2023 unexpectedly at home.
Born in Acushnet, daughter of the late Robert and Naomi (Gomez) Paiva, she lived in Dartmouth for most of her life before moving to New Bedford.
Donna graduated from high school in Chesapeake, VA and then attended Southeastern Massachusetts University, where she was named Homecoming Queen.
She was employed as a secretary at New Bedford Institution for Savings for many years.
Donna loved to cook and was an excellent seamstress, but her greatest love was her son Jason.
She is survived by her son, Jason McNabb; two sisters, Gloria Paiva and Robin D. Nunes; and five nieces, Naomi Hughes, Erica Nunes, Ellesse Nunes, Sasha Paiva, and Katie Gouvia.
