Witherell, Donald Edson, 87 of Brewster. Donald passed away peacefully at home on Monday, October 16, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones. Predeceased by his father, Russell V (91), his mother Hazel (94), his stepmother Lucille (22) at 103 years old. His first wife Sylvia (92) and his infant son, Benjamin (96). Also survived by many nieces and nephews and their respective families.
Survived by his wife Denise of Brewster, his sons Nickolas of Hatchville, Dana (Amanda) of Harwich. Greg (Cyndi) of Yarmouth port and Kevin of San Diego, CA. Also survived by his adopted daughter Kelly Rutherford of Carver. His beloved lapdog Ruby and his fur baby cat Misty.
Don worked in the Construction industry most of his life. He worked for Robert Childs Inc, for almost 17 years. Always known as “Ace” or “Diesel Don”. He had so many stories from his driving days.
Special friends and families from Lowndesville, SC. You brought so much love and joy into our family. Our paths crossed and we never expected to gain a whole new family from the South. We are truly blessed to have had every one of you in our lives.
Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family at Island Pond Cemetery, Harwich. There will be a Celebration of Life Sunday, October 29th at the Orleans Yacht Club from 2pm – 4pm.
