David M. Gregoire, affectionately known as ‘Mickey’ age 75 of Westford, passed away after a brief period of declining health on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Lowell General Hospital. He was the husband of the late Alice G. (Hildreth) Gregoire, whom he met when they were 12 years old and shared 54 years of marriage before she passed away in 2019.
He was born in Lowell on December 23, 1947 and was a son of the late Joseph and Helen (Ralls) Gregoire. He was raised in Lowell where he attended the area schools.
Mr. Gregoire proudly served with the United States Air Force during the Vietnam war, until his honorable discharge.
Mickey was a lifetime member of the American Legion and lived in Chelmsford for over 27 years before relocating to Westford recently. He enjoyed playing cribbage, and camping, especially at Wyman’s Beach, which was his favorite place. He started camping at Wyman’s Beach in the 1960’s into the 2000’s. He loved computers and technology. He also loved his dog, Opie.
Mickey is survived by his two children, Shawn Gregoire and his wife, Jodi of Chelmsford, and Kimberly Whitney and her fiancé, James Ross of Pepperell; and his grandchildren, Nathan, Ryan, Amber & Grace Gregoire, Cameron Whitney, Kristen Burnett, & Kayla and Jessica Cannon; and his brother Joseph Gregoire and his wife Judy of Maine. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews including his god daughter, Tina; as well as many brothers and sisters in law, and numerous friends.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his daughters, the late Jennifer Gregoire and the late Bonnie Gregoire; and his brother, the late Edward Gregoire.

On Thursday, October 19, 2023 all are welcome to attend his calling hours from 3-7 p.m. followed by his funeral service at 7 p.m. at McDonough Funeral Home, 14 Highland Street, Lowell 978-458-6816.
On Friday morning, all are welcome to join the family at 11 a.m. at Westlawn Cemetery on Boston Road in Lowell for his graveside service and burial.
