Linda J. Miller

Ms. Linda J. Miller died at her home in Anderson on October 15, 2023.
She was born on July 12, 1942 in Orange County, Indiana, the daughter of John E. and Geraldine B. (Turner) Miller, and had resided the past several years in Anderson. She was a graduate of New Albany High School, received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Anderson University, a Master of Science degree from University of Louisville and completed post –graduate studies in health administration at the University of California.
She was retired from a long career in healthcare consulting and operations. She held administrative and executive positions at Memorial Medical Center in Long Beach, California, and was the Chief Executive Officer at Community Hospital in Anderson. After leaving hospital operations, she continued a career in consulting with numerous healthcare consulting companies. For many years she a Chief Operating Officer and National Director of Management Consulting at First Consulting Group, a company based in Long Beach, California.
She belonged to the American College of Healthcare Executives and Healthcare Financial Management Association. She was a past member of the Board of Directors at Warner Press. Throughout her professional career, she received many awards and acknowledgements of recognition for her work.
In 2014, she wrote a book (Feline Filosophy) which chronicled the “life lessons” learned by her cat, Annabelle- a compilation of both humor and wit.
She is survived by several cousins; as well as many friends, and professional acquaintances, including special friend, Patricia Pope of Anderson.
A private graveside committal service will be held at East Maplewood Cemetery.
