Lorenzo F. “Larry” Nargi, age 96, of Medford passed away on Saturday, October 14th. Born and raised in East Boston, he was the son of the late Marco and Rachel (Coscia) Nargi. Larry proudly served in the Navy during World War II, and was later employed as a machine mechanic in the Revere Sugar Refinery.
Larry was the beloved husband of the late Rose (Cassaro) Nargi, and the devoted father of Lawrence Nargi and his wife Lisa of Medford, and Maria Nargi of Wakefield. He was the loving grandfather of Bianca and Marissa Nargi of Medford, and the dear brother of Camella Tracia of Tewksbury, Mary Ranese of Revere, and the late Generoso Nargi, Salvatore Nargi, Rose Maglio, and Benigano Nargi. Larry is also survived by loving nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, on Friday, October 20th, at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with family in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, from 9 through 11 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
