Obituary

Alice l Flemming of Raynham wife of the late Richard C Flemming died at the age of 98 while in the Newcomb Daggett Crandall home in Norton. She was the daughter of the late Walter l Eames and the late Hilda Wynot Eames of Taunton. Born in Taunton, she graduated from Taunton high School in the class of 1943 and from the Truesdale School of nursing in Fall River in 1947. She worked many years as a registered nurse at Morton Hospital in Taunton, and for 16 years as a camp nurse at 4-H Camp Farley in Mashpee Cape Cod Mass. She was a member of the Winthrop Street Baptist Church in Taunton belonging to the Women's Missionary Society as a White Cross chair person and a member of the Couples Club. She was a member of the Truesdale Hospital Retirees Association Morton Hospital Retirees Association and the St Andrews Society of Massachusetts and she was a life member of Old Colony Historical Society of Taunton. She is the sister to the late Marjorie Eames Taylor of Seekonk and North Attleboro, sister Ethel Eames Cote of Raynham and brother Robert Eames of Taunton. She is survived by her sister Evelyn Jean Sherman of Taunton as well as many nieces and nephews. She enjoyed traveling and gardening and knitting for family, friends and the homeless. Arrangements made by the O'Keefe Wade Funeral home Washington Street Taunton Mass. Burial is private at the Bourne National Cemetery.
