Jonathan W. Girgus, 60, of Derry, NH, passed away Friday October 13, 2023, at his home surrounded by loved ones. Jonathan was born on September 30, 1963, in Boston, MA, a son of Nicholas Girgus, and Judith (Lohnes) Todd, and had been a resident of Derry for the past 45 years.
Jonathan enjoyed fishing, hunting, and any outdoor activities. He especially enjoyed gardening and growing his prized giant pumpkins, while achieving his personal best weight of 1741 pounds this year.
Jonathan is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Cathy-Jo Girgus of Derry; daughter, Katie E. Girgus; sister Camilla Duarte; and Nancy Girgus wife of Nicholas Girgus.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM in the Peabody Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry, NH. Funeral services will follow at 7:30 pm.
Jonathan was predeceased by his son, Gregory Scott Girgus in 2014.
