LIMINGTON- Jerome "Jerry" L. Norton, age 52, passed away on Oct. 11, 2023, at Maine Medical Center.
He was born on January 16, 1971, to Frank and Winnifred Norton. He was married to Melissa Wilson on September 7, 1996. They lived in Limington for 27 years and raised one child, a son named Jonathan.
He worked at Maine Printing and First Technologies, but his favorite job was being at home as a stay-at-home Dad.
His favorite activities included cooking, sitting by his fire pit, gardening, sending out greeting cards no matter what the occasion was, and spending time with his dog Jasper.
He served as Deacon at Berean Bible Church and for 6 years volunteered at Berean Christian Academy as a teacher’s assistant and served on the school board.
He was predeceased by his Father Frank Norton, Niece Brandy Norton, and Nephew Philip Cressey III.
He is survived by his Mother Winnifred Norton, Wife Melissa Norton and their son Jonathan, Siblings Janie Gregoire and her partner Andy Bertin, Julie Merritt, Jan Norton and his wife Shirley, and Jacenta Shaffer and her husband Ken, Sister-In-Laws Pretrea Cressey and her husband Phil, and Doreen Fusillo and her husband Frank, and Brother-In-Laws Charles Wilson, and LeRoy Wilson and his wife Stephanie. 13 nieces and nephews, and 8 great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday Oct. 19th from 5 - 6:30 PM, followed by a 6:30 PM memorial service at the Poitras, Neal & York Funeral Home, 71 Maple St., Cornish. Online condolence messages can be submitted at the funeral home website, www.mainefuneral.com
