Gary Lee McKain

Gary Lee McKain, 75, of Anderson passed away on October 12, 2023 at Primrose Retirement following an extended illness.
He was born on December 12, 1947 in Anderson, IN to Norman and H. Maxine (Bennett) McKain. He graduated from Anderson High School in the class of 1967 and attended Indiana State University.
He worked production for 31 years at New Venture Gear in Muncie for 11 years, Delco Battery in Olathe, Kansas for 10 years and Delco Remy in Anderson for 10 years. He was a member of UAW 662.
He enjoyed fishing, golfing, basketball and softball.
He is survived by 2 brothers-in-law, Pete (Kristi) Craib of Alexandria and Scott Craib of Anderson; a sister-in-law, Diane McKain; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Janet Darlene McKain in 2019; and two brothers, Jim and Jack McKain.
There will be no services or visitation. A burial will take place at a later date in East Maplewood Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to Madison County Humane Society.
