Gloria O. (Coulombe) Mello, 92, of Fairhaven, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, October 11, 2023. She was the wife of the late Dennis "Danny" Mello.
Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late William and Emma (Farley) Coulombe, she lived in Fairhaven most of her life.
Gloria loved shopping and taking care of her grandkids. She enjoyed spending time at the family business, Danny's Auto Body.
Survivors include her children, Wayne Mello and his wife Alice, Gary Mello, and Debra Winterson, all of Fairhaven; her grandchildren, Kristine Souza and her husband Craig Souza, Heidi Mello, Sheri Mello and her husband Karl Mello, Jacob Mello, Chad Mello, Sarah Mello, Shane Mello, Wayne Mello, Jr. and his wife Kara Mello, Danielle Hopwood and her husband David Hopwood, Stephanie Winterson, Bethany Mello, Nicholas Mello, and Nathan Winterson; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She is predeceased by her husband, and her children Dennis Mello, Jr., and Randy Mello.
Gloria's Funeral will be held from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford on Wednesday, October 18th at 9 AM, with her Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church, Fairhaven at 10 AM. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Tuesday October 17th from 4-8 PM.
