Wendell Wade Lovett, 58, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at Community Hospice in Jacksonville, Florida. His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 14, 2023, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Jeff Carter officiating. Mr. Lovett will be laid to rest at Salem Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 14, 2023, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service.
Branden Allen, Brayden Allen, Johnny Handley, Tony Handley, David Lovett and Raymond Lovett will serve as pallbearers.
Born May 20, 1965, in Tifton, Mr. Lovett was the son of Jim Wendell Lovett of Jacksonville, Florida and the late Brenda “Joyce” Stone Lovett. He worked in the construction business as a self-employed floor installer. He loved movies and George Jones music.
Mr. Lovett is survived by one sister and brother-in-law, Wendy Jo and Tony Handley of Callahan, Florida; one nephew and his wife, Johnny and Chelsea Handley; and three nieces and their husbands, Christy and Johnny Gaston, Tina and DJ Valentine and Samantha and Branden Allen.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial gifts may be made to a Hospice organization of choice.
