Jane O’Brien of Needham passed away peacefully after a long illness on October 6, surrounded by family. She was 70 years old.
Born to Robert and Celia O’Brien of West Hartford, CT where she lived with sister Bobbie and brother Steve. Jane attended UConn before moving up to MA for graduate school. She eventually settled in the Boston area where she lived for the rest of her life. Jane loved gardening, the ocean, and being with family and friends. Beloved mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother.
Jane is survived by her daughter Katie and granddaughter Lily of Needham, son John and his wife Ginny and granddaughter Claire of Roslindale, and son Graham of Boston; sister Roberta and her husband Al of Simsbury, CT; in addition to many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Jane is predeceased by her parents Bob and Ceil, her beloved brother Steve, and husband Alec Finley.
A memorial mass will be held at 10 am on Monday October 16 at St. Paul's Church in Wellesley, MA.
