November 5th, 1922 – October 10th, 2023
On October 10th, 2023, Chris passed away peacefully in his home at the age of 100. Chris migrated to this county from Michoacan, Mexico as a young child and settled with his family, where he started a family of his own as a resident of Ventura, Ca. Chris served his county as a WWII veteran in the 82nd Airborne, served his community with decades of umpiring for Ventura coast PONY baseball and held a career as a Roofer for Rayco Roofing.
Chris was preceded in death by her parents Ramona and Atilano Rangel, His Wife Helen Carmona Rangel, Brother’s David, Philip, sister’s Lily, Emily, Carmen, Son Chris Rangel Jr., Granddaughter Alicia Lopez, Great Great Granddaughter Karmela Morales, Great Great Grandson Uriel Rangel. All of whom welcomed His arrival with warmth and Love.
Chris is survived by 2 Siblings, 4 children, 7 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grand Children and 8 Great Great Grand Children; and many other family members.
Chris will be remembered for his longevity, strong work ethic, Love for baseball – GO Dodgers!, hunting, and Rooster’s.
We will miss you dearly until we meet again.
Family and friends are invited to visiting hours to be held on Thursday evening November 2, 2023 from 4 to 8pm in the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, 757 E. Main Street, Ventura, where a Most Holy Rosary will be recited at 7pm. Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 3, 2023 at 12 Noon in the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, 757 E. Main Street, Ventura. Interment will then immediately follow with Military Funeral Honors in Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, Ventura.
