John Edward Castleberry, 78, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Monday, October 9, 2023, at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Thursday, October 12, 2023, under the porte-cochere at Evergreen Cemetery, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, with the Rev. Chris Ramsey officiating.
Mr. Castleberry was born September 4, 1945, in Macon, Georgia, to the late Thomas Edwards & Minnie Lee Castleberry. He graduated from Fitzgerald High School in 1963 and honorably served in the United States Navy. Mr. Castleberry attended South Georgia College and Southern Technical Institute and retired from Delphi. He enjoyed tending his pecan trees and being on the farm. He was a member of the American Legion Post 99 and a member of Central United Methodist Church.
He is survived by many cousins.
