David R. Barnhart, 68, of Tiverton, passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Diane (Wilsoncroft) Barnhart.
Dave was born in Chula Vista, CA son of the late Roy and Noreen (Sherman) Barnhart and had resided in Tiverton for 37 years. He was owner/operator of Vel-Parts, Westport for over 40 years. He loved classic cars and riding his Harley. Dave was a jeans and t-shirt kind of guy who always enjoyed a cold beer with his friends at Wally's Tap House, Tiverton.
Survivors along with his wife include his son: Jason D. Barnhart and his wife Heidi of Tiverton; his sister: JoAnn S. Morgan of FL; and his granddaughter: Kyla J. Barnhart.
Funeral service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Friday, October 13, 2023 at the Potter Funeral Home at 7:00 P.M..
Visitation will be Friday from 5-7 P.M. prior to the service.
Interment will be private.
