Amanda Lois Leverett Barnes, 50, of Brookfield passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Her funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, October 14, 2023, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Steve Davis officiating. Mrs. Barnes will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 13, 2023, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals
Cecil Giddens, David Parkerson, Edsel Schofill, Jackie Haswell, Jason Haswell and Manuel Ayala will serve as pallbearers.
Born October 22, 1972, in Albany, Mrs. Barnes was the daughter of Helen Tatum Leverett of Leesburg and the late Morris Leverett. In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by one brother, Marty Morris Leverett; and her mother-in-law, Susan Barnes.
In addition to her mother, Mrs. Barnes is survived by her husband, Ronnie Lee Barnes, Jr. of Brookfield; one son, Cooper Beaty of Mitchell County; four daughters, Carolina Beaty of Mitchell County and Amber Barnes, May Spradlin and Mallory Barnes, all of Tifton; one brother, Tatum Leverett of Leesburg; one sister and brother-in-law, Dana and Tony Graham of Leesburg; a sister-in-law and her husband, Melissa and Steve Pless of Parrotsville, Tennessee; one grandson, Carson Hamrick; and her father-in-law, Ronald Lee Barnes, Sr. of Brookfield.
