Barbara Ann Hancock, 65, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Monday, October 9, 2023, at her residence.
Memorial services will be held 11 AM Friday, October 13, 2023, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Harris Johnson officiating. The interment will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hancock was born August 9, 1958, in Ocilla Georgia, to the late John Lee & Virdell Nasworthy Day. She loved animals, yard sales and helping people when in need. Most of all, she loved her children and grandchildren. She was formally employed as a medical transport driver where she enjoyed her job.
She is survived by two children: Wesley Peacock & Rachel of Winder, and Kelly & Bill Villers of West Virginia; 3 grandchildren: William Villers & Allison, Morgan Villers, and Jason Villers; 2 great grandchildren: Elizabeth Villers and Bailey Villers and one on the way; her siblings: Lutrelle Daily, Grace Crosby, George Day, Ramon Day, Jody Day, Brenda Coleman, Geri Fountain, Teresa Day, and Eva Mays. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by three brothers: Fred Day, Vernan Day and Melvin Day.
