LACONIA ---- Irene Lucille Wilson, 102, of Charlevoix Place, passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at Granite VNA Hospice in Concord, NH.
Irene was born on February 28, 1921, in Laconia, NH, the daughter of the late Arthur Dionne and Matilda (Carrier) Dionne.
Irene was a foster parent to 17 children. She spent many years volunteering at St. Francis and St. Vincent De Paul. She enjoyed time with her family and friends and loved the outdoors. She enjoyed dancing, hiking, ice-skating, and golfing. When the weather was so nice she could be found bowling, playing pool and cards.
Irene is survived by her granddaughter Melanie Thibault and great grandchild Isabella Thibault. Irene is predeceased by her husband Earl Wilson; daughter Jane (Wilson) Thibault and her husband Ronald; brothers, Richard Dionne, Ernest Dionne and his wife Jeanne, and Norman Dionne and his wife Reggie; sister Grace Drew and her husband Fred; and grandchild Matthew Thibault.
Calling Hours will be held on Friday, October 13 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm in the Carriage House at Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Garfield Street, Laconia, NH.
