Obituary

Cheryl A. (Simmons) Woodward passed away suddenly on October 9, 2023. She was 57 years old.

Cheryl married her high school sweetheart, Rick, who was the one true love of her life. Cheryl and Rick celebrated over thirty years together with their greatest treasure being their five children. Cheryl was forever proud of her children, claiming them as her greatest accomplishment. She was the world’s greatest mom, who never missed a chance to be in the front row of every event and loudly cheered on the sideline of every sports game. However, she enjoyed being the “soccer mom” the most.

Cheryl loved spending time with her family and never missed an opportunity to be with them. She enjoyed baking for her loved ones and always said that her chocolate chip cookies were the answer to everything. Cheryl was a generous, selfless, and kind-hearted woman, who would give everything she had to help those around her; to her friends and family she always was a call away. She had an infectious smile and could light up any room she walked into. Her love and kindness will be forever imprinted in those who knew her and her presence will be one that is greatly missed.

Cheryl was the beloved wife of Richard S. Woodward. She was the daughter of Geraldine (Fahy) Simmons and the late John Simmons. Cheryl was the loving mother of Nicole Woodward and her fiancé Sean Kennedy, Richard Woodward Jr., Jacqueline Woodward and her partner Christian Hoar, Joseph Woodward and his partner Ashley Rose and Tabetha Woodward. She was the dear sister of Michele Simmons, Lynn Krisko, Paula Ramsey, John William Simmons and the late John Joseph Simmons III and Colleen Lavino. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and her beloved dog Shadow.
