Gino D'Ascenzo 77, of Franklin, passed away, peacefully at his home, Sunday October 8, 2023.
Gino was born on July 7th, 1946 in Ofena, Italy.
He had a free spirit and loved to climb the fig trees in his town. He was a choir boy in his local church.
As a young man, Gino immigrated to the United States to Franklin, MA and began a career in carpentry. He loved bulding and working with his hands. Gino worked for many companies and made countless friends throughout his career.
He enjoyed a carefree retirement in good company with close friends and family.
Gino was a loving father to his son, Luke D'Ascenzo and always kept his family close to his heart.
He was the brother of the late Ovidio D'Ascenzo and Domenic D'Ascenzo.
Gino was an avid lover of being around people. Everywhere he went, there was someone who knew him. He was truly a man of talent, putting smiles on peoples faces. No matter the situation, he always had something witty to say. Gino was a small town favorite with a big heart and will be missed by all he has blessed with his presence.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his calling hours Friday October 13th in the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. from 9-10:30AM.
A graveside service will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Franklin at 11AM.
