Delia “Dee” Floyd, 95, of Pelham, NH died Saturday October 7, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Lowell, MA on July 18, 1928, she was born the daughter of the late Anthony and Constance Bello. Mrs. Floyd was raised and educated in Lowell. She lived in Pelham, NH for 45 years and was a resident of Naples, Florida for 22 years. Delia was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed spending time with her family. Her passion was any family gatherings with all of her (kits) grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She was Co-owner of The Women’s Touch Cleaning Service of Pelham, NH. She was a member of the VFW’s Women’s Auxiliary Post 7721 in Naples, where she was a Chaplin for 20 years. She was also a member of the Eagles, Knights of Columbus, Moose Club, American Legion and Amvets.
Survivors include her loving children, daughters, Linda Deady and her husband, John, of Barrington, IL and Virginia Floyd of Pelham; her sons, James Floyd Jr. and his wife, Donna, of Naples, FL, Michael Floyd and his wife, Karen, of Pelham, and Brian Floyd and his wife, Patty, of Middleton, MA; 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren; as well as many, many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her sister, Carol and her husband Norman Dirocco and her brother, Anthony Bello and his wife Connie, all of Lowell, MA. She is predeceased by her beloved husband of 59 years, James R. (Gabby) Floyd, Sr. in 2007, her granddaughter, Jennifer Edgerton of Barrington, IL, sisters and brothers-in-law, Antoniette Bello, Connie O’Neil and her husband Leo, Bevinda Belleau and her husband Ray, and Alice Newell and her husband Jack, all of Lowell, MA.
After cremation, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday October 14, 2023 at 10:00am at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 12 Main St., Pelham.
