Obituary

LACONIA --- Walderne “Wal” Reed St. Clair, 84, of Laconia, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 6, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Wal was born on March 19, 1939, in Somerville, MA, son to the late Roger St. Clair and Ethel (Reed) St. Clair.

Wal was a devout Christian who proudly served his country in the US Army, retiring after 26 years as a Lieutenant Colonel.

Wal enjoyed boating, driving his Camaro, cheering on the Red Sox and NE Patriots, and he was an outstanding “armchair coach”.

Wal is survived by his wife, Judith (Andersen) St. Clair; three sons, Mark, Steven, and David, and their mother, Gail; as well as several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. In addition to his parents, Wal was predeceased by his sister, Muriel.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the Lakes Region VNA who were beyond helpful during Wal’s last days.
