Robert A. Booth, 92
Robert A. “Bob” Booth of Harwich passed away peacefully after a brief illness on October 7, 2023.
He was the beloved husband of the late Jacqueline A. “Jackie” (Cummings) Booth with whom he shared 57 years of marriage before her passing.
He is survived by his son Peter Booth and his wife Karen of Harwich, his grandson Reid Booth and his wife Amanda of Harwich, his granddaughter Paige (Booth) Daigle and her husband Ryan of Harwich, and his granddaughter Tyne (Booth) Kane and her husband Matt of Yarmouth. He is also survived by his great grandchildren Brooks and Crew Daigle, Maisie and Nolan Booth, John Kane and many nieces and nephews.
Bob was born in Taunton to Alexander and Beatrice (Dunkerley) Booth. He attended public schools in Taunton and Dighton before joining the Navy in 1949 and serving through 1954. He graduated from the Bradford Durfee College of Technology in 1958. He spent the bulk of his career working in engineering for MIT and later the Draper Labs in Cambridge before retiring.
After retirement Bob and Jackie spent time between homes in North Dighton and the Cape. Bob enjoyed woodworking, woodcarving and doing crafts with Jackie. He also greatly enjoyed playing in the Cape Cod Senior Softball league.
Funeral and burial services will be private. Arrangements are under the care of the O’Keefe Wade Funeral Home in Taunton, MA.
