Obituary

Heather Jean Amerault, age 48, of Tewksbury, formerly of Las Vegas, NV and Medford, passed away at the Lowell General Hospital on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, from complications of an asthma attack. Her family and her closest and dearest “sisters” were at her side as she passed, surrounding her with love, support and music.

Born in Medford on January 22, 1975, she was the daughter of Alan and Karen (Malaguti) Amerault, both of Tewksbury. Heather was raised in Medford and graduated from Medford High School in 1993. She worked for many years at Combined Jewish Philanthropies before eventually moving out to Las Vegas in 2005.

Heather was a lover of all animals, which led to her multiple careers as an animal caretaker in many different capacities.

She enjoyed dancing, singing like no one was listening, bragging about her lead role as Annie in her third grade “Broadway” show. She adored the companionship of her golden retrievers “Tayla” and “Logan”. In addition, she was a passionate Boston Red Sox fan and was a proud member of Red Sox Nation. Heather lit up a room with her personality and was an open book. Her family and core group of childhood girlfriends, along with their families and pets, was what she absolutely lived for. Heather’s smile, infectious laugh and ridiculous love for pink lemonade and Italian scali bread will live on through all of us.

Heather was an organ donor and will lovingly be remembered by the many people she has helped.

Besides her parents, she leaves two brothers, Chris Amerault, of Everett and Mark Amerault, of Medford and two nieces, Lindsey and Sophie Amerault. She is further survived by many cousins, extended family members, friends and family pets as well as her Las Vegas family who had nicknamed her Boston.

Calling hours are Saturday, October 14, from 3-7 p.m. with prayers to be offered at 6 p.m., at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee Street, Tewksbury. At the request of her family, in lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the M.S.P.C.A-Nevins Farm, 400 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844 or The Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (aafa.org) or simply adopt a rescue animal and name it Heather.
