Jacqueline I. "Jackie" Boisvert, 73, of Woonsocket passed away Friday September 29, 2023 at home after a brief illness.
Born and raised in Woonsocket she was a daughter of the late Hormisdas and Therese (Desmarais) Plante. She was a lifelong resident of the city.
Jackie was a graduate of St. Clare Girls High School. She received her degree in accounting and finance from Johnson and Wales University.
In the earlier years of her career she worked at Amprex Corporation and Todesca Brothers Corporation. Jackie was employed at Putnam Investments in Franklin for many years. Prior to retiring she also worked at Deslauriers Surveying Associates.
Jackie, also affectionately known as Kiki, was a member of the “Putnam Release Program”, an “officially-unofficial” group of former Putnam Investment employees (some would argue inmates) who regularly got together to share good times, good food and a barrel of laughs.
Jackie was devoted to her family and was blessed with a wide circle of friends. She cherished the good times and memories she made with them on a number of memorable trips including to Disney and cruises to warm and sunny destinations.
Jackie was a fan of several different genres of music especially country music and she was a movie buff.
Jackie had a special place in her heart for animals. She considered her cats to be her “fur grandbabies” and she loved her son Peter’s dogs. Jackie was a member of Weight Watchers and worked hard to keep herself healthy.
Jackie will be remembered as an outgoing and friendly lady. Her love for her family and those close to her knew no bounds. While her family is deeply saddened at her passing, Jackie’s legacy of love and laughter will live forever in the hearts of all who were lucky to have known her and been a part of her life.
Jackie is survived by her son Peter T. Boisvert and her sister Paulette Cartier and her husband Robert all of Woonsocket. She was the sister of the late Camille J. Plante. She is also survived by her extended family of several nieces nephews cousins and their families.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday October 14, 2023 at 10:00 am in Precious Blood Church. Burial will be private. Relatives and friends are invited to gather to honor and remember Jackie at visiting hours on Friday October 13th from 4:00-7:00 pm at Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave. Woonsocket.
