Daniel B. Estow, 77, of Westport, passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at Charlton Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. He was the husband, for 54 years, of the late Clara (Reyburd) Estow.
Mr. Estow was born in Bronx, NY, son of the late Sidney and Sophie (Cohen) Estow and had been a longtime resident of Westport after spending several decades in Lexington, MA. A graduate of Brandeis University, he had a varied work life: language arts specialist, marketing communications manager, novelist, safety consultant, and landlord. He enjoyed golfing, boating, and cooking gourmet meals from out of seemingly empty cupboards. He was an avid Patriots fan and he loved taking long walks in the woods with his beloved dog (and favorite child) Emma.
Survivors include his daughter: Sarah Estow of Greensboro, NC; his sister and brother-in-law: Emily and Bob Carroll of Chicago, IL; and his dear friend: Julie Newburg of Somerville, MA.
