Deborah Ann Harper Shaw, 62, of Tifton passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at Southwell Health and Rehabilitation Center in Adel. Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 7, 2023, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Ike Branch officiating. Mrs. Shaw will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 6, 2023, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Andrew Hale, Keith Wesley Belk, Keith Harper, Austin Harper, Clay Connell and Dion Hall will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Brooks, Kenny Jones and Gerald Shaw.
Born April 23, 1961, in Tifton, Mrs. Shaw was the daughter of Margaret Ann Brooks Harper of Tifton and the late Jimmy Kendall Harper. She was a graphic designer for the Tifton Gazette for 31 years and for the last seven years, she was employed with Belk’s Heating and Air in Tifton. She loved her grandkids; she loved to bake and cook for her family; she loved her plants and animals; and she loved music. She was a member of Tifton’s First Church of the Nazarene.
In addition to her mother, Mrs. Shaw is survived by her husband, James H. Shaw of Tifton; one son, James “Hunter” Shaw of Tifton; one daughter and son-in-law, Deborah “Suzanne” and Keith Wesley Belk of Chula; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Rhonda Harper Hale and Mary Margaret and Franco Ortiz, all of Tifton; and two grandchildren, Deborah Kendall Ann Belk and Kagan Wesley Belk.
