Obituary

Raymond G. Samson passed away peacefully surrounded by family Tuesday, October 3, 2023. Raymond (Sam if you knew him) was born March 14, 1938. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. It was there he learned the trade and became a Master Electrician. Raymond (Sam) loved to ice skate and ski in his younger days and would proudly tell you that he skied Tuckerman’s Ravine many times. He worked for Associated Grocers as a truck driver for 33 years and was one of the 5 men who fought to bring the Teamsters Union to fruition.
He was a longtime parishioner of St. Pius X Church.
Raymond set the bar high for any man as far as how to treat the woman he loved, he would have moved mountains for the love of his life, Ruth. He will be deeply missed by many. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Ruth Samson, his daughter Dawn Houston, his son Gerald Samson and his wife Tangi, and his stepdaughter Lisa Bissonnette and her husband Peter, as well as two sisters Jeannette Richer and Helen Couture and his brother Herve Samson and his wife Helen.
There are so many nieces and nephews as well as 7 Grandchildren (Kristie, Shauna, Jessica, Jeffrey, Courtney, Brittany, and Kris) and 10 Great Grandchildren (Bobby, Isabella, Gabrielle, Charlotte, David, Jeremiah, Lila, Ellianna, Liam, and Lennox).
