Bruce J. Dias, age 68, of Taunton, passed away on September 30th after a long battle with dementia.
He was the son of the late William F. Dias and Elizabeth E. (Reagan) Dias of Vernon Street in Taunton. Bruce was predeceased by his brother Robert Dias and son Bruce Dias Jr.
He is survived by his loving wife Madelyn Dias (Arsenault) and brother William E. Dias of Taunton. In addition, he leaves his daughters and their spouses Jill Silva (Nick) of Berkley, Jennifer McGinley (Mathew) of East Taunton, and Christine Bernardino (Jonathan) of North Dighton. An extension of his children, Bruce departs his beloved grandchildren Brayden, Nathan, Lilley, Harper, Charlie, Isla, and Beckham.
Bruce was an endeared patriarch of his family, proud provider, renowned mechanic, and handyman. In his leisure, he enjoyed spending time with his friends and family while camping, fishing, playing cards, clamming, boating, and riding his bicycle on the Cape Cod Canal. When his days of howling at the moon wound down and the disease progressed, he shifted all his focus to his immediate family. His safety, medical care, and memory needs were attended to at home, under the devoted care of his wife Madelyn.
