James Halbert Westberry, 68, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at his residence.
Private services will be held at a later date.
Mr. Westberry was born January 8, 1955, in West Monroe, Louisiana, to the late James Doyle & Ethel Elizabeth Smith Westberry. He was a mechanic and he loved to fish, work in the yards and work with his hands. Mr. Westberry loved being with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Susan Garner Westberry of Fitzgerald; children: Kimberly Loving, Daphne Bates and Sarah Westberry; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings: Lemuel Westberry of Jacksonville, Florida, Nina Kay Camp & Brian of Bossier City, Louisiana, and Marti Ree Gildon of Louisiana. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings: Francies Wilson and Kevin Dale Westberry.
