GILMANTON ---- Helen Yvette Brown, 82, of Providence Road, passed away on Friday, September 29, 2023, at the Granite VNA and Hospice House in Concord.
Helen was born on June 6, 1941, in Laconia, the daughter of Charles and Cecelia (Brozeau) Stokes.
She enjoyed crocheting/knitting, cake decorating, going out to eat, state fairs, camping, her beloved pets and spending time with family for game nights.
She was Belmont High School’s oldest sports fan. She spent 45 years at LRGH in the OB department as a CNA and later taking on the role of Health Unit Coordinator. She received LRGH Employee of the Year in 1994.
Helen is survived by her siblings Joe Stokes, Darlene Young, (David), Valerie Ulrich, Amber Flanders (Ward), and Cherie Brailey; her children Timothy Brown (Joyce Miller), Melissa Boehner (John), Anthony Brown (Loretta), Melanie Morissette (Alen) and Trudy Poire; eleven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Helen is predeceased by her beloved husband of 52 years, Luther Brown, her son Daniel Brown, her brother David Stokes, her sister Amy Bohaker, and granddaughter Jody Hannan.
Calling Hours will be held on Friday, October 20, 2023, from 5:00pm-7:00pm, at Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH 03246, using the carriage house entrance.
A Memorial Service will be celebrated on Sunday, October 22, 2023, at 11:00am, at the Concord New Hampshire Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 310 Sheep Davis Road, Concord, NH 03301.
