Gary Joseph Moniz, a lifelong resident of Adamsville, RI died Saturday, September 30, 2023. He was the son of Nancy and the late Harry Moniz. Gary was a 1981 graduate of Middletown High School and worked for Goulart Petroleum of Little Compton, RI. Gary was a horticulturalist by nature and was grateful to further his education in his past employments at agricultural centers. He carried on the Moniz Farm tradition by growing and selling the tastiest tomatoes and most spectacular dahlias. He loved 70’s music, clambakes, being in nature and his customers at the farm stand. The Moniz farm has been operating for over 100 years. Gary’s brother, the late Steven Moniz established the farm stand in 2003.
Gary is survived by his mother, Nancy, brother Dana, sister- in- law Karen, nephews Danny and Jason, great nephew Ryan Joseph Moniz and the love of his life Deanna.
His smile, quick wit and summer farm stand chats will be missed
Memorial service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Thursday, October 12, 2023 at the Potter Funeral Home at 7:30 P.M.
Memorial visitation will be from 6 - 7:30 P.M. prior to the service.
Burial will be private.
