F. James “Jim” Jones, 80, of Londonderry, NH, died Monday October 2, 2023 in the Community Hospice House, Merrimack, NH surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 5, 1942 in Warren, OH, a son of the late Francis J. and Florence (Craver) Jones. Jim proudly served his country in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was employed for Lennox Industries for 30 years, retiring as a District Manager. Jim was passionate about his love of trains, cars, and football. He was a devoted Patriots & Red Sox fan, as well as a diehard Londonderry Lancer fan. Jim was also one of the original founding members to bring high school football to Londonderry in the early 1980's.
He is survived by two sons, James A. Jones, and David T. Jones and his wife Elaine; three grandchildren, Samantha, Olivia, and Joshua; two step grandchildren, Amanda and John; three great grandchildren, Maylee, Mylah, and Mason; his brother, Gary Jones; his sister, Barbie Delgarbino; his companion, Susan Tsetsilas; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Barbara J. (Watson) Jones in 2010, and his sisters, Joyce Jones and Kay Schultz.
Following cremation, calling hours will be held on Friday, October 13th from 5 – 7pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 14th at 10:00am in the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Pillsbury Cemetery, Hovey Rd., Londonderry. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Londonderry Gridiron Club.
