Richard W. Cataloni, age 73, of Lakeville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 1, 2023 at the Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River.
Born in Foxborough, MA on May 31, 1950, he was a loving son of the late Gardino, Sr and Adeline (Churchill) Cataloni.
Richard grew up in Foxborough and had made his home in Lakeville for over twenty-five years. He loved his job, working as a bagger at Market Basket in Raynham. While growing up, along with his family, Richard attended Saint Mary’s Church in Mansfield.
Richard enjoyed sharing his love and warmth to all around him. He is now with the love of his life and best friend forever, his late mother Adeline. While growing up he cherished the times playing the board game “Sorry” with his family and watching the Andy Griffith Show and Gun Smoke, whom he knew all the actor’s name. Richard will always be remembered as a smart man who touched so many lives along the way and created memories that will live on forever.
He was the dear brother of Eleanora “Nora” O’Brien of Carver, Adeline “Addie” Lestor of North Attleboro, Edward “Eddie” Cataloni of Attleboro, Peter Cataloni of East Taunton, Barbara Corbeil of Norton, Linda LeBeau of Maine, Carmella “Cammy” Lamaire of Attleboro and the Charles “Charlie” Cataloni, Pasqualina “Lee” Seger, Gardino “Junior” Cataloni, Jr, John “Johnny” Cataloni, Ralpheal “Ralph” Cataloni, William “Billy” Cataloni and Robert Cataloni.
His Funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Friday, October 6th at 11:00 A.M. in Saint Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt Street (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will follow at Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Foxborough.
Visitation will be held prior to the Funeral Mass on Friday morning from 9:30 -10:30 A.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street, Mansfield.
