BIDDEFORD- Sandra "Sandy" Elizabeth Tarr, age 62, passed away on October 1, 2023, after a long and
courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in Lewiston, Maine on January 14, 1961, daughter of the late David and Catherine
(Wheeler) Merrill Sr.
Sandy attended school in Kennebunkport and worked various factory positions within the Biddeford
Mills.
Sandy enjoyed a vibrant social life when she was young, always on the go with friends. As she got
older, she found comfort in spending time with her now late husband, Richard Tarr, visiting with her
children and grandchildren and various crafts. She made the best costumes and could speed crochet
a blanket on demand.
Sandy is survived by her children, Heather Lund and her husband, Pete of Biddeford, Sarah Donovan
of Saco and Adam Pelletier and wife Heather of Saco. Nine grandchildren, Sierra(who she raised), Zachary,
Adrianna, Hannah, Isaiah, Romeo, Elana, Raymond, Tyson and five great grandchildren
Services will be determined at a later date.
