Mabel E. Ogden, 91, of Harris Road, Smithfield, died Friday, September 29, 2023 at the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence. She was the wife of Herbert N. Ogden. They would have celebrated 72 years of marriage in November.
Born in Smithfield, she was a daughter of the late Leo and Mabel (Breton) Canuel. She was a lifelong resident of Smithfield. She had worked as an Executive Secretary at Worcester Textiles in North Providence.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her daughter: Debra Seamans, with whom she lived; her two grandchildren: Lindsay Langley and her husband, Andrew, of Cumberland and Eric Seamans of Smithfield; and four great grandchildren: Luvayah, Natala, Grant, and Jackson. She also leaves her sister Jean Talbot and many beloved nieces and nephews and their families. She was the sister of the late Leo Canuel, Jr.
Her funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 4th at 12:30pm in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Rt 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Burial will follow in Highland Park, Johnston.
