Obituary

Worcester – Thomas Edward Dunlevy, 66, of Henderson Avenue passed away at home on September 20, 2023 while surrounded by his family.
He is predeceased by his parents James and Veronica Dunlevy of Shrewsbury and his brothers, James Dunlevy of Shrewsbury and Brian Dunlevy of Worcester.
Thomas is survived by his companion and soulmate, Katie Pastor of Worcester of 30 years; two children, Jay Dunlevy and Megan Dunlevy of Worcester; two sisters, Mary (Dunlevy) Lannon and her husband, Robert Lannon of Coconut Creek, FL and Veronica Dunlevy and her companion, Jay Gould of Worcester; two brothers, Kevin Dunlevy of Worcester and Dennis Dunlevy and his wife, Joan Dunlevy of Worcester; a niece, Sarah Dunlevy of Worcester; a great niece, Aria Dunlevy of Worcester; an aunt, Marion (Paladrano) Dunlevy of Red Bank, NJ; a sister in law, Rosemary Dunlevy and her husband, James Dunlevy of Shrewsbury and his former wife, Joanne (Anderson) Dunlevy.
Thomas was born and raised in Shrewsbury, son of James and Veronica (Mahoney) Dunlevy before moving to Worcester.
He was a graduate of Shrewsbury High School, attended Sacred Heart Academy and Sylvania Tech.
Thomas established Dunlevy’s Plastering and Tile Co. for over 40 years. Also, a Sea Captain and did many charters on his boat, Easy Cruzin II. In his earlier life he was an assistant Boy Scout Leader and presently a member of the Knights of Columbus of Worcester.
Thomas passion was being on the ocean, riding his motorcycle, an avid skier and was a certified scuba driver.
His interests were weekend getaways and hanging out at his favorite local taverns with his companion, Katie. He enjoyed watching the Patriot games at Troys Local Neighborhood Bar.
Thomas had a very special bond with his son Jay. They worked, fished and hung out together. Jay was an inspiration to Thomas.
Thomas loved being home, entertaining his friends and family. He adored his dog “Lady” and his two cats. “Thelma and Louise”.
Thomas lived a very simple life, he was a kind, generous, loving and easy-going man. A true “Irishman”. He will be genuinely missed by all.
A celebration of life and mercy meal in memory of Thomas Dunlevy will be held on October 15, 2023 at the Tatnuck American Legion Post No. 288, 570 Mill Street Worcester, MA 01602 from 1 to 4 PM.
