Linda Dorminy Willoughby, 72, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Saturday, September 30, 2023, at her residence.
Graveside services will be held 11 AM, Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at Evergreen Cemetery in Fitzgerald, with Bro. William Stevens officiating.
Mrs. Willoughby was born December 13, 1950, in Ben Hill County, Georgia, to the late James E. “Jim” & Mary Jane Dorminy. After earning her GED, she attended Wiregrass Georgia Technical College where she earned an accounting certificate. Mrs. Willougby worked as a seamstress for Fitzgerald Underwear as well as Modern Fibers and Shaw Industries. She enjoyed needle point and crochet and crafted quilts and afghans. She was always busy with a project whether repainting the interior of her house or working in her yard on the landscaping. She also enjoyed word search and crossword puzzles. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Thomas Willoughby, Jr. of Fitzgerald; a daughter, Talinda & Lonnie Adams of Fitzgerald; and grandchildren: Ren Adams and Oliver Adams. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother James W. Dorminy.
