Helen A. “Chickie” (Shea) Comosa, age 90, a longtime Georgetown resident, passed away at Mill Town Health & Rehabilitation in Amesbury on Saturday, September 30, 2023.
She was the beloved wife of James C. Comosa, who passed away on August 14, 2021.
Born in Boston on October 10, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Francis Shea and the late Helen (Leahy) Shea.
Helen was raised in Charlestown, attended local schools, and graduated from St. Francis de Sales Parochial High School.
Following their wedding, Helen devoted herself to her husband and raising their four children.
In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, cooking, antiquing, and spending time with her family.
Helen is survived by her four children, James Comosa and his wife Teresa, of West Newbury, Brian F. Comosa and his wife Sue, of Georgetown, Elizabeth C. Ronayne, of Tewksbury, and John J. Comosa and his wife Lisa, of Andover: her grandchildren, James C. Comosa and his partner Erika Brindamour and their children, James and Lucia Comosa, Nicholas S. Comosa and his partner Cayleigh Cameron and their son, Colton Comosa, Nicole Izzo and her husband Tom and their children, Ellie, Emilia and Addison, Daniel Comosa and his fiancé Jenna Moughan, John Michael Ronayne and his partner Chase Gibson, John Comosa and Jared Comosa.
She leaves many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Helen was the sister of the late Ellie Murphy, Francis, Timothy, James, and Kevin Shea.
Calling hours are Wednesday, October 4th, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee Street, Tewksbury, immediately followed by a prayer service to be held at the funeral home and interment at Tewksbury Cemetery, 172 East Street, Tewksbury.
