Robert A. “Bob” Albanese, 81 , Portsmouth, passed away on Thursday, September 21st in RI Hospital, Providence.
Bob was the son of the late Angelo and Josephine M. ( Firenze ) Albanese. He had lived in Portsmouth for 3 years previously living in Newport, Middletown, and Lincoln, RI.
Bob had graduated from LaSalle Academy, class of 1959. He had earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of RI, class of 1964. He had graduated with a MBA, Finance from The Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania in 1970.
He was a Mechanical Engineer with Stone and Webster for 15 years. He also worked at Fidelity Investments as a Project Manager for 6 years before retiring. He had also worked at Century 21, TWA, and Arthur Anderson.
He was a social member at Wanumetonomy golf and country club for the last 2 years. He also loved to play Canasta with friends and enjoyed sitting on the rocks overlooking the water in Newport. He also enjoyed playing golf and played in several golf leagues over the years. His greatest joy was to make people laugh and smile each and every day.
He leaves his children, Scott C. Albanese of Boston, MA and Alison L. Albanese of Providence, RI. He was the brother of Carolyn Hansen of Smithfield.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
