Michael F. “Mike” Vasapollo, age 73, of Brockton, died peacefully at his home on Tuesday September 26, 2023 after a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of Lorna M. (Piers) Vasapollo for 33 years. Mike was born and raised in Brockton, a son of the late Mario and Ursula (Jablonski) Vasapollo
A 1968 graduate of Brockton high School, Mike also attended Massasoit Community College. For over 30 years, he worked at the Westgate Mall, starting as a maintenance man and climbing up the ladder to retire as manager. In his retirement, Mike and his wife Lorna owned and managed the White Swan Bed & Breakfast in Plymouth, an occupation they truly enjoyed.
Mike was a great cook and enjoyed having pig roasts and clam bakes for his family and guests. He was known for his extravagant cookouts. He was a very generous man who would give you the shirt off his back. Mike adored his children and grandchildren and also his dogs Isabella and Dora.
Mike was the father of Derek Vasapollo of Easton; Keri Farrell of Holbrook; Gina Rodger of Methuen, Chris Badavas of Anderson, Indiana and George Badavas of Raynham. He also leaves 15 loving grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
