Brenda Lee Harris Johnson, 59, of Tifton passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at Tift Regional Medical Center. A graveside funeral service will be held for Mrs. Johnson at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Oak Ridge Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest. The Rev. David Smith will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at the graveside immediately following the service.
Born May 4, 1964, in Moultrie, Mrs. Johnson was the daughter of Havard Harris (Sandra) of Ashburn and Brenda Joyce Vaughan (Jim) of Tifton. She was a graduate of Worth County High School. She was a hairdresser and she was of the Baptist faith. She served as a peer counselor at the hospital in Richmond Hill, Georgia and she loved working on crafts.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Johnson is survived by her husband, James Johnson of Tifton; two sisters, Donna Bradley of Jacksonville, Florida and Freida West of Tifton; one son, Darick Taylor of Florida; one brother, Jerry West of Tifton; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother, Tony West.
