Obituary

We are broken-hearted to announce the passing of our beloved son Cody Crook. Cody was born in Santa Barbara, CA. on January 17th, 1990. He passed away much too soon at the age of 33 on Monday, September 18th, 2023. He was a son, a brother, a grandson, a dad, and an uncle. He was a very talented plumber and jack-of-all-trades within the construction industry for many years. There was nothing Cody couldn’t do if he put his mind to it. He was so generous; he would happily go without and do for others with a greater need than himself. He would give the shirt off his back if someone needed it more than he. Cody was kind, sensitive, loving, and he had a great sense of humor! He loved music of every genre from the oldies but goodies to the modern day, he loved riding his Harley-Davidson, going to the beach, and anything to do with the great outdoors. We hope he realized how talented and loved he was while he was here with us on Earth, even for such a short time, and we are quite sure, as he sees us from heaven, that he knows how much he is loved and missed by so many friends and his family. Cody leaves behind his 8-year-old son Tyler Crook, his parents, Jerry and Susan Crook, his sister Cheyenne Crook, his nephew Connor Fargo and niece Haley Perez, his grandparents Jerry & Penny Crook Sr., and way too many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends to list here. So many of you have shared your love and prayers for our family. We are inspired and strengthened by all the caring, love, and prayers we continue to receive each day. Cody was preceded in death by his grandparents Don & Mary Mason who we know have welcomed him into heaven with open arms, warm hugs and kisses, and some good jokes, we are sure. All family and friends are invited to join us in a Celebration of Life for Cody at the Moose Lodge in Oak View, CA on October 21st, 2023, at 2 PM until whenever we finish up. A huge thank you to Dan Baily and the Moose Club members for hosting this celebration for our family and Cody’s friends who can join us! In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in Cody Crook’s name to Not One More - https://notonemore.net/
