Richard ‘Neil’ Harrington, 79, of Hanson, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on September 25, 2023. Born on February 11, 1944, in Rutland VT, he was the son of the late Miles and Freda Harrington.
Neil proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy and subsequently worked many decades at the Brockton Edison Company.
Neil is survived by his beloved wife Susan Sayce Harrington. Neil was a devoted father and is survived by son Scott, husband of Sabatina, of Plympton and daughter Shannon, wife of Bill White of Florida; brother to Linda, wife of Fred Kopcak of Sandwich. Cherished grandfather of Victoria and Nicole. Neil is survived by many other loving friends and family members and his sensor of humor will be greatly missed by all.
Family and friends are invited to attend his visiting hours on Monday October 2 from 4-7 PM with a service to follow at 7 PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman.
