Obituary

HIRAM- Katherine L Fyler, 72, went to be with her loving husband after a courageous battle with cancer, on Sept. 25, 2023. This is a battle that she has won many times and this time she chose to show cancer who is really the boss.
Born in Everett, Mass as the daughter of the late John and Alma Glencross and attended Saint Rose High School. Kathy worked for SAD 55 along with Nancy Jamerson in the life skill program. Kathy loved going to Special Olympics, and loved her students unconditionally.

Kathy was a Mom, Nannie, and a Friend to everyone. Her door was always open and loved when her grandson Zack would bring all his friends there to hang out. Kathy could be found at her home hanging out with friend Gloria or making pies and apple crisp. Kathy cared for her Dad until he passed away in 2017 and the love of her life Mikey in 2022. Kathy and Mike had the marriage that was made in heaven and in heaven they are together once again. Kathy and Mike had two children Bill and Tiffany. Kathy was so proud of both her children. Bill married the woman of his dreams who was taken far too soon. They have two boys Dylan and Bj. Kathy or as the boys called her Nannie loved her boys. She would call Bj at 10 everyday just to keep him on his toes and would spend time FaceTime Dylan while on his route for FedEx. Nannie always showed her boys she loved them and how proud of them she was. Kathy had one daughter Tiffany and a grandson Zack-man-do. Kathy and Tiff were often inseparable. Those two were as tight as any two BFF’s could be. Kathy was proud of Tiffany’s profession working with Autistic children at SAD 55. Kathy’s grandson Zack was another highlight of her life. Zack and his fiancé Cass moved to Wisconsin so Cass could chase her dreams but Nannie had to be sure to keep in touch. Lunch time calls to Zack and a trip for a visit. Kathy always put others before herself.

Kathy is predeceased by her hubby Mike, brother Stephen Glencross and her daughter-in law Susie Fyler. We know Mikey and Susie were waiting to take Kathy to her eternal home.

Kathy is survived by her son Bill Fyler two grandsons Dylan and Bj. Daughter Tiffany and grandson and granddaughter Zack Fyler and Cass Leach. Kathy also had a loyal nieces Kelly and Callie who were always in contact and held a special place in her heart.

Services will be private per Kathy request and a celebration of life for both Kathy and Mike will take place in the summer.
