John G. Liarikos, II, 69, of Dartmouth passed away suddenly on Monday September 18, 2023.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Jeannine (Loranger) Liarikos and John G. Liarikos, he lived in the Greater New Bedford area all of his life.
John was the owner/operator of Sea Fuels Marine Services on the New Bedford waterfront. Since its start in the 1990s, he has distributed fuel to the commercial fishing fleet, pleasure boats and commercial land fuel customers to the present day.
He was an avid golfer and longtime member of the Country Club of New Bedford. He held various leadership positions and enjoyed competitive tournament play over the years. He also enjoyed softball, waterskiing, and hockey.
He is survived by his children, Mark V. Liarikos of Buckeye, AZ and Emma N. Liarikos of Fairhaven; his sisters, Diana M. Mascarello of Raynham, Anne M. Liarikos of Lakeville, and Catherine A. C. Liarikos of New Bedford; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his siblings, Jeannine Y. Devlin, Marc A. Liarikos, and Jay M. Liarikos.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday September 30, 2023 at 10 AM at St. Gabriel the Archangel Parish, 343 Tarkiln Hill Rd., New Bedford. Visiting hours are omitted.
