Carol A. Lane, 75

Dateline: Mansfield, MA

Carol A. (Lucier) lane, age 75, of Mansfield, passed away in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, September 23, 2023, She was the beloved wife of the late A. Frederick Lane.

Born in Quincy, MA on March 28, 1948, she was a loving daughter of the late Bernard P. and Alice M. (Carson) Lucier.

Carol grew up in Quincy and was a 1965 graduate of Quincy High School. She had made her home in Mansfield for the past twenty years and prior to retiring, worked as an Administrative Assistant for the Philadelphia Insurance Company. She was previously employed at the Robert McCormack Insurance Company.

Carol’s greatest gift in life was her adoring family, whom she loved dearly. She especially enjoyed attending all of her grandchildren’s activities, the simple please of relaxing at home and trips to area casinos.

She was the devoted mother of Kari A. Barresi and her husband Salvatore of Mansfield and the late Eric Jancaterino. She was the cherished grandmother of Ericka Barresi, Michael Barresi, Ashley Jancaterino and Domenic Jancaterino. She was the dear sister of Claire Lynch of Hanover, Peter Lucier and his wife Sandra of Plymouth, Richard Lucier and his wife Joanne of Brockton and Brenda Coyne of Assonet. She is also survived by her loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, September 28th from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street, Mansfield. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Carol’s memory may be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Avenue, Boston, MA 02215.
