WORCESTER___Beverly Ann Kelly, 86, a longtime Lincoln Street neighborhood resident, passed away Saturday, September 16, 2023 after a period of declining health.
Beverly is survived by her nephews, Leonard, Warren and Christopher Corman, niece, Kathy Roule and many friends. Beverly is predeceased by her sister, Barbara Corman, and brothers, Leonard F. Kelly and Thomas J. Kelly. She was born in Worcester, a daughter of Leonard Thomas and Gertrude (O’Reilly) Kelly.
Ms. Kelly graduated from the former Sacred Heart Academy and David Hale Fanning School of Practical Nursing. She also attended Quinsigamond Community College. Beverly was a Licensed Practical Nurse spending most of her career at the former Worcester Hahnemann Hospital caring for patients on the Medical Surgical Unit and later the Endoscopy Unit until her retirement. It was there that she met many longtime friends and helped many patients and assisted many student nurses in their learning. After her retirement, she volunteered at Saint Vincent Hospital until health prevented her. She was hardworking, forthcoming, and committed to those she cared about. Beverly was a longtime member of Saint Joan of Arc Church.
She loved her many dogs and cats over the years and took great pleasure in helping friends in need.
A calling hour will be held on Monday, September 25, 2023 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM in HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St. A funeral will follow with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in Saint Joan of Arc Church, 570 Lincoln St., Worcester. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester.
