Salem
Dianne M. (Turgeon) Donahue, 81, of Salem, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family on Tuesday, September 19, 2023. She was the loving wife of the late John J. Donahue with whom she had shared 28 years of marriage.
Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Leo J. and Rita G. (Morin)
Turgeon. She was a graduate of St. Joseph Academy of Salem and continued her education at the Lynn Hospital School of Nursing. Upon graduation, she began her career as a Registered Nurse in the Lynn Hospital and later Union Hospital emergency room for over forty-three years. Following her retirement she continued working , part, time in the Union E.R. for the next ten years.
Dianne was devoted to her family and extended family. She was friendly, kind and compassionate. She was a member of the Richelieu North of Boston Club, active in the Salem Council on Aging and was a member of the board of directors of the Friends of the Salem Council on Aging. Dianne was a faith member of the former St. Joseph Parish of Salem and was currently a member of Ste. Anne Parish.
She is survived by her three sons, John Donahue and wife Rosanna of Salem, Michael L. Donahue of Salem and Mark D. Donahue of Littleton as well as her six loving grandchildren,
Angel and wife Liana, Julia and husband Misha, Elizabeth, Kevin, Aedan & Parker and two great-grandchildren John and Ezra. She also leaves two brothers Ralph Turgeon and wife Louise of Salem and Pete Turgeon and wife Barbara of Clayton, NC, brother-in-law Donald Dupuis of Peabody as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her dear sister Doris Dupuis.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Route 114 / 1-A] Salem on Monday, September 25, 2023 at 10:00 AM to be followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in Ste. Anne Church 290 Jefferson Ave/, Salem. Visiting hours, at the funeral home are on Sunday the 24th from 3:00 to 6:00 PM. Burial will be private.
