Villa, Edda (Gerbella) of Wellesley, September 20, 2023. Edda was the beloved wife of the late Leo A. Villa, Sr. for 64 years. Devoted mother of Leo A. Villa, Jr. (Joanne) of Sandwich, Sandra Villa of Wellesley and Susan V. Amalfi (James) of Franklin. Loving grandmother of Mark, Scott (Jessica), Lauren and Brittany. Great grandmother of Madeline and Leo Amalfi.
Edda was an accomplished master seamstress who was trained and educated in Parma, Italy. She owned and operated Nimble Thimble in Wellesley for 43 years.
Visitation at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St. Wellesley on Tuesday, September 26, from 8:30am-9:45am followed by a funeral Mass in St. Paul Church, Wellesley at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment in St. Mary Cemetery, Needham. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or MSPCA - Boston.
